Samsung Wave 723 and Wave 2 Pro Bada Smartphones Europe

Samsung is now all prepared to launch its next Bada OS smartphones, the ‘ S7230E Wave 723 ‘ and the ‘ S5330 Wave 2 Pro ‘, in Spain and most likely shortly it will land in the UK and across the globe.
After the success of the original Wave, which recently passed the 1-million-sales mark in Europe, the Wave 2 Pro is a QWERTY version of the Wave 2 phone and both of this smartphones are cheaper alternatives to the first Wave. Wave 2 Pro offers support for 802.11n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity but 3G is lacking. There is a 3.2-megapixel camera with video so you can take photos and upload online to social networking sites like Facebook, from this device. (more…)
Dell Streak 5-inch multitouch Android 3G Tablet launches in India

In our previous post TheTelecomNews informed you about arrival of Dell Streak in India and now this high time is a reality as Dell Streak, The 5-inch Multi-touch android powered tablet is launched in India at a price of Rs. 35,000 . This device is available with Tata DoCoMo postpaid connections along with promotional 500MB Free data usage for the first six months. Currently Streak Running on Android 1.6 mobile OS and is expected to get Android 2.2 Froyo update before the end of this year ( Yes it will skip the 2.1 ). (more…)
Google Phone Gallery; Discover Compare Android mobiles
0Google has decided to promote the Android based phones by replacing the old Nexus One sales page with a list of Android powered phones equipped with Google services such as Market, Gmail, YouTube, et cetera. This is a dedicated phone gallery to showcase the Android powered devices which is Continuously growing by addition of new mobiles .
Right now, the list only includes phones from manufacturers HTC, LG, Samsung, verizon and Motorola, although it lists phones from several different carriers in multiple countries ( adding more in coming days ) The comparison feature is probably the best feature of the gallery; A full dedicated page allows you to choose up to three phones and get detailed specs on each one side-by-side, which can be useful in determining the next phone you want to purchase.
38.63 mn Mobiles from 35 handset makers shipped to India in Q2

Mobile phone sales in the burgeoning Indian telecom market has touched the height of 38.63 million units in April-June 2010 driven primarily by low cost handsets from the domestic brands. With mushrooming of new handset makers now total vendors in India are 35, which accounted 33.2% of total shipments in the second quarter of 2010. (more…)
