BlackBerry India gets 60 days extension for monitoring solution
A Good news for 1.1 million blackberry phone owners in India, who kept their fingers crossed on the final decision of Indian Government over BlackBerry services in India as the Indian government said it will not shut down the service for at least next 60 days. In thisĀ meantime Government will evaluate the proposals of RIM that would allow them to do wireless remote monitoring of all BlackBerry communications of India Network.
Last month RIM was charged with providing a technological solution to assuage India’s security concerns about the devices as BlackBerry could be used by terrorists to organise attacks. It is not just India where RIM has problems. The United Arab Emirates says it too will block BlackBerry services including email and Messenger by 11 October if it does not get access to encrypted messages. Indonesia, Saudi Arabia and Lebanon are also reviewing the future of BlackBerry services in their countries.
Even if BlackBerry makers wins the trust of Indian Government, They night loose the trust of end users who are using BlackBerry just for sake of anonymity and don’t want network monitoring and intervention of any third party in their communication!! All in All its only the users who has to suffer from this nasty political influence.
OUR GOVERMENT TAKE RIGHT DECISIOM ON BLACKBERRY.
