MTNL Mumbai Is Offering Free Installation for Broadband

Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Ltd (MTNL) today announced a new offer called “Broadband Bonanza”, the free activation and testing charges for its Wire-line Broadband service in Mumbai.
MTNL is Mumbai’s no. wire-line broadband service provider as they offer the cheapest tariff plans for their subscriber and recently, it has crossed the landmark of 5,00,000 Broadband subscribers in Mumbai telecom circle.
MTNL is offering Free ADSL Modem to all Combo and Unlimited Plan Customers and free broadband activation offer is also available for all new and existing subscribers of MTNL broadband. (more…)
Yahoo and MTS co-branded page for mblaze users

Yahoo! India and MTS has announced a service and content partnership for MBlaze, a high speed mobile broadband service by MTS. MBlaze users will now be able to access a Yahoo! and MTS co-branded page that will provide their account information and content including Yahoo! Mail, News, live TV and mobile search.
The co-branded page will deliver greater convenience for MBlaze customers as they will now have a single destination to obtain information such as their account balance, account status, mobile products, network coverage and to recharge the balance on their pre-paid accounts. MTS is also planning to offer the co-branded page in local Indian languages. (more…)
Telecom Experts divided on 240 Million Broadband Subscribers target

Broadband Tech INDIA 2010, An event organized by Bharat Exhibitions and supported by DOT Department of Telecom & DIT Department of Information Technology, recently held at New Delhi to promote broadband in fast growing Indian Telecom Industry. The event derived a vision that, after information and education, the next step should be Broadband as a legal right and expected a total of 240 Million Broadband Subscribers in India by year 2015.
But most of the telecom experts present at the conference stated different views on this vision:
Mr. Puneet Garg Vice-president –Technical, Bharti Airtel claimed that wireless broadband access (BWA) and 3G would be the driver to provide access for the rural masses to this facility. BWA and 3G would be complementary technologies for broadband access. “Expose people to Internet and then decide at what speed it should be done” was Mr. Garg’s solution. (more…)

MTNL Delhi reduces price for Unlimited 3G 2500 Data Plan

Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Ltd ( MTNL ) has announced a change in its existing 3G data plan for its postpaid customers of Delhi region. The erstwhile plan named as “3G 2500 data plan” is now changed in “3G Freedom Unlimited 1800” .
With this plan customers will continue to enjoy same unlimited free data access, free video calls and free local video call minutes but surprisingly with lower price of Rs 1,800 .
