An analysis of handsets by British researchers found that almost a quarter of them were so dirty that they had up to 10 times an acceptable level of TVC (Total Viable Count) bacteria. Higher levels of TVC indicate poor personal hygiene and act as a breeding ground for other bugs.

Nexus One will no more be available in markets as Google has ended retailing its smartphone model, Admitting that its Nexus One has not succeeded in the market, Google said in its website “Sorry, folks…The Nexus One is no longer available for purchase directly from Google,” . Mobile Service, Internet and LiveTV soon in flights

Cathay Pacific, A leading international airline of Hong Kong, has announced its plans to fit entire fleet with Internet broadband service, mobile telephone network and Live televisions. Now those days are not far when broadband internet access, mobile phone service and even liveTV on flights would be a reality. However it won’t be a free service, The airline will announce the prices at the time of roll out.
The airline has entered in a deal with Panasonic Avionics, a broadband system that will have speeds of up to 50 megabytes on its aircrafts by early 2012. Flights will also have a service for mobile phones. The system will be accessible through all passenger devices and seat-back screens and will include a range of content updated during the flight, plus live television with a pay-per-view capability for special events. TRAI to review telecom quality of service every quarter

Telcom Regulatory Authority of India ( TRAI ) is changing the parameters to Review Telecom Quality of Service by switching to a quarterly audit instead of annually. Till now, every three months the service providers submit data on defined parameters on Quality of Service but audit was done annually by TRAI.
According to a TRAI Official, “Trai want to improve quality of telecom services and make tariff plans easier to understand” This new step will certainly put pressure on service providers to keep upgrading their networks constantly and swiftly redress subscriber complaints.
TRAI is also seeking to simplify the tariff plan literature offered by operators, as subscribers do not get the right kind of information about hidden costs and benefits of different plans. More >
Motorola iSIM might come in India: Use 4 Phone Numer in one SIM

Motorola A US based Mobile brand is planning to introduce multi-number based SIM called iSIM (intelligent SIM) in India. Use of iSIM could replace the need of keeping and maintaining multiple SIM’s or buying a dual SIM mobile. Motorola is already providing iSIM in China and currently in talks with all Indian Telecom operators to launch iSIM as its form, factor and flexibility are compatible with most phones available in India. iSIM most likely expected to come to india by the end of 2010 .
iSIM is a simple flexible wafer (0.4mm thin) that can be attached to subscriber’s original SIM card and provides additional services that can be controlled via SIM tool kit (STK). iSIM cost is just a fraction of orginal sim card. More >
