If you are waiting to have your hands on original iPad then a good new for you! Apple is finally ready to bring the original iPad to India from this Friday, January 28. BSNL and Apple have signed a deal according to which BSNL will provide dedicated plans budled with iPad. It would be available in 16, 32 and 64 GB versions.
BSNL has said in a statement that it will offer special data plans for iPad with Wifi + 3G in coming weeks, But the contract part is still unclear.
The iPad which runs on iOS has a 10.1 inch capacitive multi touch screen, a 1GHz processor and apps for email and social networking, video streaming, navigation using Google Maps, an eBook reader etc. For connectivity it uses Wifi and 3G networks and offers around 10 hours of battery backup. Confident with great success of its android smartphones, HTC is now gearing up to expand into tablet market with Android 2.3 device. Probably named as HTC Scribe and The Flyer , this upcoming devices is expected to be launched by march 2011 and will ship into US market following by UK launch.
Currently there is no official specifications have been announced, but the Flyer is expected to come in a 7 inch form factor and run on Google’s Android 2.3 operating system. The device will be upgradable to the tablet-specific Android 3.0 Honeycomb platform. (more…)
Eee-pad will be running on Google’s Upcoming Gingerbread 2.3 OS. The tablet has features like 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Wimax for high speed connectivity. The Eee Tablet is more than just a mix between an e-book reader and a digital notebook; it can also be used for drawing.
According to John Chen, Business Development Manager, India and Middle East, Asus Technology, “We will introduce our tablet in the first quarter of 2011. These will be ten inch tablets with Android 2.3 operating system. We will offer different configurations to address different customer needs. We will also bundle our cloud services with these devices, so that even customers with lower spec versions of the device can enjoy a whole range of applications.” (more…)

Samsung has officially launched its new tablet; Samsung Galaxy tab in US market . Currently its available on T-mobile only but soon will be made available to other carriers .
This tablet is considered as the successor of Apple’s Ipad as it has more stunning features than Ipad. Apple’s Ipad comes with a 9.7-inch at 1024×768 resolution where as Samsung Galaxy Tab has 7-inch display at 1024×768 resolution, though the screen size is small but it makes no big difference.
This tab comes with 190x120x12mm(lxbxh) in measurement which makes easier to carry Galaxy tab for a longer duration of time but unlike Ipad which had our arms aching after just a few minutes of use. Galaxy Tab runs on Android 2.2 (Froyo), comes with an extended browsing session offers wireless tethering, flash Support, the latest Google Android OS (2.2) is very fast which also adds features to it.
