Idea cellular by Aditya Birla group is one of the oldest and consistent Telecom operator of India. They always stands in lime light with their innovative advertisement IDEA’s often known as ” WHAT AN IDEA SIR JEE “. From long time there GPRS services lie in the category of stable and quality services but now a days situation is different due to stuff competition and princely GPRS cost . i used idea.. bt its speed is not good only 5-10 kb/s……. downloading speed is also nt goood compare to tata docomo..7-8 kb/s in peak hours.. and at night 8-10 kb/s…
and that is also not stable at all so better go for tata docomo and airtel.. for better services..
BSNL and vodafone are somehow same connectivity speed about 4-6 kb/s…..
so its upto u fr choosing best plans and networks..
i suggest to go for 3g services of tata docomo and bsnl for best internet speeds and if ur really an internet savvy.. go for a broadband connection…

98rs. plan with 70mb limit and htc wildfire..12kb in morning n 15kb night tym..yes..3/5*..

day speed: 20kb/s
night:30-35kb/s
good network with full range. My home is near to the tower(near 100m)

Idea is the waste network in the india in gprs speed.it is les then 5kbps/s…dont use idea gprs

Does anyone know how to activate GPRS on the new Nokia C2-01? I’m using a 4-year-old Idea chit-chat SIM. I called customer care, they said send SET to 54671. The message came, “Your phone is not provisionable”. Of course it is, it even supports 3G! I’ve tried a lot of other things too. Very strange.

i use nokia n70 i use to get the speed of 10 kbpsin day and about 28 kbps in night

ha ha i m in kurukshetra and using idea sim in idea netsetter.it gives me 200 to 230 kbps at every time.
