HTC Wildfire Android 3G smartphone comes India with Reliance
HTC Corp., A Taiwan-based company in alliance with India’s Reliance Mobile has launched the ‘HTC Widlfire’ In India. The tie-up is exclusive meaning the handset is available only on the Reliance Mobile network. As a bundled offer on purchase of the handset, Reliance Communications is offering up to 500 MB of free data transfer every month for a period of six months. The HTC Wildfire will be retailing in India at Rs. 16,590
The HTC Wildfire is based Android platform, supports popular social networking sites and comes equipped with HTC Sense. The model has a 3.2” touch screen, a 5 megapixel camera with auto focus LED flash, FM radio, a media player. Operating on a Qualcomm processor this handset supports a flash memory of 512MB with 384MB RAM. It (also) comes with slots for expandable memory cards. the HTC Wildfire comes with special features including Proximity sensor, G-sensor, Digital compass, light sensor and an optical joystick, next generation caller ID, support for phone, email, text messaging, Wi-Fi, HTML web browser and more.

HTC Wildfire mobile is running on Android OS v2.1 / Eclair and is fully upgradable to upcoming Android OS v2.2 / Froyo.
