Impact of 3G services on Indian economy and life style
Often 3G (third generation) services are considered as a would be revolution in India. It is believed that it will change the societies and lives for the betterment. Government believes that 3G service is not only to provide better voice clarity and faster internet access to the customers,but it also help to pick up the economy growth in India.
3G have following benefits over existing 2G network:
- Mobile internet access upto 2Mbps
- VOIP calls (voice over internet protocol)
- Video conferencing
- HD video streaming.
- Faster download and upload.
- Multiplayers online games.
- Better voice quality
- Live TV
- Great security than 2G networks.
- Location-based services
Despite its benefits, there are some negative point also in 3G service. Major disadvantages being High cost and requirement of advance devices. Metros people would be able to afford it, but rural population will be hesitant for it initially. Abuse of new services will also be a great disadvantage for 3G. But still everyone is waiting for the green signal of 3G launch by private operators .
