LG Revealed World’s First Dual Core Smartphone-LG Optimus 2X

LG Reveled World’s First Dual Core Smartphone-LG Optimus 2X Finally, LG has officially launched its LG star a.k.a LG Optimus 2X handset. This handset has become the world’s first dual-core Smartphone, which is powered by a Nvidia’s Tegra 2 processor. It comes with Android 2.2(Froyo) and LG has announced that it will provide upgrade to Gingerbread (2.3) OS very soon.

LG optimus features a 4-inch WVGA screen, 1GHz Nvidia Tegra 2 processor, 8GB of internal storage and a microSD slot for expansion. There is a rear camera of 8MegaPixel with flash and a front camera of 1.3MegaPixel.

This handset is able to play High definition video at 1080p resolution and is able to record video in MPEG-4 and H.264 format; there is also a HDMI port, which turns this phone into a media player.

LG Optimus 2X will be available in Korea from next month onward , then it will be made available in Europe and in Asia. The price of LG Star is not yet been announced but it is expected that it will be around $500.
