After getting the credit to be first private telecom operator to launch 3G services in India, Tata Docomo is now expecting that up to 20 per cent of its existing customers in Punjab and Haryana will switch over to its high speed 3G services within the next one year.
Aditya Gupta, COO, Tata Teleservices, said they are expecting 10 to 20 per cent of their existing customers in Punjab and Haryana to shift to 3G network within the next months to one year.
“We will be aggressively promoting 3G services through our 35,000 multi-brand retail outlets in Punjab and Haryana. We will also set up demonstration zones at 100 locations in both states to give a live experience to people on the features of 3G services,” he said. (more…)
Tata DoCoMO, The innovative telecom operator wants be the first private mobile service provider to announce launching date of much awaited third-generation (3G) mobile services in India. According to the news the company is planning to start 3G services like ultra-fast internet, video conferencing by this Diwali. Tata has already started bundling its 3G enabled SIM with smartphones like HTC Desire.
“Japan’s NTT DoCoMo has provided technical inputs to make our 3G network world-class.
