“We will launch the 3G services in 11 circles by first week of March and the remaining circles in the middle of March ”, he added .

Aircel 3G data plans will offer to the consumers the best in speed and experience. The 3G local, STD and Roaming Video Call cost will be 5 paisa/sec (Rs.3/minute). Idea Cellular ready to Launch 3G Services Next MonthIdea Cellular, the pan India telecom operator is now ready to launch its 3G services in India. The Aditya Birla group company may launch 3G services by next month across the country . The company has won 3G spectrum in 11 circles for approximately Rs 5,768 crore. Tata Docomo, Reliance Communications and Bharti Airtel are the major private operators who already launched their 3G services in India.

Rajat Mukarji, chief corporate affairs officer, Idea Cellular said “We are looking at launching 3G services next month. We are still working out on details.”



Most of the 3G users are disappointed by high 3G tariff plans of existing 3G operators and now there will be a hope on Idea cellular for better and cheaper 3G plans.

3G video call starts again, telcos gets time till July 31 to provide interceptionIndian Telecom operators with 3G services got a major relief from the government as The Department of Telecom (DOT) said that it will allow third generation (3G) video calls on mobile networks and asked the companies to demonstrate the services by July 31

Before this, telecom operators offering 3G mobile services were asked to stop the 3G video call service as security agencies were not able to intercept the video calls on real time basis.

“After examination of various options, it has now been decided to permit carriage of calls on mobile networks subject to an undertaking being provided by the concerned service providers that they shall demonstrate the required capability by July 31, 2011,” (more…)

Reliance 3G Network goes live in metros and ChandigarhReliance Communications (RCom) has finally announced the much awaited launch of Reliance 3G services, starting with Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, along with the city of Chandigarh. The 3G network offers a theoretical peak download speed of up to 28Mbps.

Reliance 3G services will offer features such as video-calling, mobile TV, video streaming and applications access at super-fast speeds on a wide variety of both mobile phone and personal computing devices with the plans starting from 199 Rupees a month to 2,499 Rupees a month according to data usage limit.
