The company has decided to enter in mobile handset business later this year. The company has a target of selling about 25000 to 30000 handsets in the first three months.

Beetel Teletech a Bharti Group enters mobile handset market

The Bharti group has announced its entry into the mobile handset market with an idea of exploiting the fast-growing Indian mobile market. Beetel Teletech limited, a Bharti Group firm has launched eight handsets in the price range of Rs 1,750-7,000, which would give its sister concern and opportunity to attract more subscribers by offering them tariff plans bundled with its own handsets.
The handsets will be equipped with 2G and 3G services with features like dual SIM, triple SIM, FM,camera, QWERTY keypad. Additionally, Beetel will offer a bouquet of VAS features to appeal the youths, ranging from popular social networking application-Facebook and Nimbuzz, Internet browser-Opera Mini, NgPay, Mobile Portal-Yahoo, added with offers of free call and free SMS’s powered by Ibibo.
