Uninor Non-Stop Local plans in Karnataka on festive seasonUshering in the festive spirit and spreading joy and cheer, Uninor introduced two novel plans for their Karnataka customers giving them a chance to talk more with the ‘198 Non- Stop Local’ and ’63 Non-Stop Local Discount’ plan.  With the plan, subscribers can avail the lowest call rates for 1 year .

The 198 plan offer its customers 1,20,000 seconds of free local Uninor to Uninor and 42,000 seconds of free Uninor to other network calls with a validity of 30 days,  with a free talktime worth Rs. 1620 in the per second billing plan for Rs.198 only. On the other hand, Plan 63 plan allows discount from 5% to 60% discount on call charges at 1p/sec while the 198 plan offers the same tariff after free usage with a validity of 1 year. (more…)

Uninor eyes 8 percent indian Telecom market share by 2018 Uninor, a joint venture between realty firm Unitech and Norway-based Telenor has unveiled its vision “to achieve eight percent market share in India by 2018″ by resorting to unique marketing strategies & lucrative talk plans. From the Start Uninor has a slightly different Perspective to build up its Brand and according to uninor they will concentrate on the development and delivery of voice services, while other new entrants look to differentiate themselves with data service.

Uninor started its operations in India in December last and has licenses to start operations in all the 22 telecom circles of India, is now present in 13 service areas. Accepting the intensifying competition in the country’s wireless services sector, Ever decreasing average revenue per user (ARPU) and an increasing number of operators in India’s mobile market are not deterring Uninor’s management, which is taking a long-term view as it plans its operational rollout. Uninor goes Truly Mobile with Flagoff event held in LucknowUnitech Wireless, joint venture company of real estate major Unitech Ltd. and the Norway based world’s 6th largest mobile services provider Telenor Group has ramps up its retailing & brand building initiative in semi- urban & rural markets of eastern UP by flagging off 16 cars at the Uninor Lucknow hub here on Thursday. The retail mobile initiative was adopted with the vision of assisting Uninor to reach out to its customers in even the remotest corners of UP East.

With the mobile handset population poised to top 500 million in India by 2010, it has become a huge and vibrant communication platform, which no telecom marketer can afford to ignore. Uninor is oriented to tap the potential in rural UP as major segment of the telecom market is driven by these users, so it gets indispensable to reach out to the touchpoints. The rising demand in the Indian mobile phone industry is another reason to experiment with the retail mobile brigade for telecom market in UP east.
