TTSL supports TRAI decision for preparing 4G services skipping 3g

Tata Teleservices has supported TRAI on issuing a pre-consultation papers on 4G, saying it would help India to come out with high-end services in line with advanced countries. 4G, known as the Long term evolution ( LTE) or ultra-broadband, offers download at faster speed and high definition video on demand.

“About 23 operators from all parts of the world will be launching 4G by 2010. 3G technology was actually  launched in 2001 and we are already nine years behind. It should not happen also in 4G you become nine years behind,” TTSL MD Anil Sardana said.

On the same day when India is dreaming of 4G and waiting for 3G, MobileOne (M1) of Singapore partnering with Nokia Siemens Networks, successfully completed a 100 Mbps data call on its Long Term Evolution (LTE) trial network.
