Nokia C5 Firmware Updated to v061.005

Nokia recently released a new firmware update for Nokia C5. The firmware version 061.005 brings a number of improvements in usability and corrections, and additionally it includes performance, quality improvements.
The Change Log for Nokia C5 is listed below:
- Memory leaks is detected in during SRIT test round
- Themes: the first theme in General theme menu is applied automatically after open theme from settings.
- Browser crashes after loading VF Germany Homepage

Nokia N8 smartphones getting turned off itself due to power fault

Nokia, the world’s top cellphone maker admitted on Friday that a small number of its latest smartphone Nokia N8 have a power fault that originated during the manufacturing process. A number of users reported, their Nokia N8 turned off unexpectedly and is not switching on back as it should. The company says affected users will be covered by the standard warranty.
According to chief sales manager, Niklas Savander, “there were a limited number of N8 users who were actually facing this problem. When the phones turned themselves off, the users were unable to turn them back on.”, But he kept mum on the toll that how many phones are affected.
The fault in the power management reportedly stems from the way in which the engine component in the Nokia N8 was being installed. (more…)
Nokia C3-01 Touch and Type to Arrive in India by December 2010

Finnish mobile phone maker Nokia is about to launch its new model called Nokia C3-01 in India. This handset is also code named as Touch and Type; Touch and Type is said because the phone is blended with both the alpha numeric keypad and a touch screen feature.
Nokia C3-01 is a Symbian S40 6th edition phone which has features like 2.4-inch TFT resistive touch screen display with 256K colors at 240x320px resolution ,5 Megapixel camera with LED flash, 3G, WLAN Wi-Fi, and supports applications like Facebook , Twitter ,Nokia messaging 3.0 and instant messaging.
The phone includes a 3.5mm audio jack, 30MB of internal memory, Bluetooth v2.1, and MicroSD slot. The phone weighs only100 gram and has 111×47.5x11mm (lxbxh) in dimension and is available in Silver, Warm grey and Golden Khaki Colors.

Nokia has announced its new touch screen candy bar smartphone Nokia C5-03 . This Symbian mobile has a 5 MP of camera with 3.2-inch of touch screen display .
The other features of Nokia C5-03 include support for 3G and Wi-Fi connectivity and GPS which can be used free with the Ovi Maps; there is also an option to share your location on social networking sites like facebook and twitter by using an application called event which is available on the Nokia C5-03 menu.
